Comments
Comments: Apart from a small mudpit on the foot path portion of the Slippery Brook Trail, trails were try. The first two miles are a grassy road walk, but fortunately no ticks today. With the exception of the climb up the summit cone of Eastman, this is about as gradual as a mountain hike can get in the Whites.

Some hobblebush and maple shrubs showing fall colors. Cloudy, but chilly as compared to the past week or so.
