Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: The parking lot has a massive washout. Vehicles without adequate ground clearance and/or a long wheelbase will have a difficult time with it. Best access is going to the far left of the washout, as another vehicle (Honda CRV?) proved. I had no problem with my pickup truck. There was one spot just before the washout on the left. If you have a regular car and can't get that one spot, I would suggest searching for a pullout off Bear Notch Road that is near the trailhead.

Comments
Comments: Nice hike. Pretty straightforward. Took less than 2 hours. Some nice views of the Sandwich Range from multiple ledges. There is a spur path to the summit, which is to the left, just after you begin to slightly head downhill. Summit is in the trees, with a old rusty can on a tree as a marker. As previously stated, beware of the parking lot.
