Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Very small parking area, and the rest is roadside. This is a hidden gem, so it's unlikely you'll see the crowds that you'd see on the nearby Kinsmans.
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Dry Trail
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: One on Blue Loop near the trailhead, but there's a fine bunch of stepping stones. No worries.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Magnificent trail work by the ACT; a couple sections that were mildly growing in (notably Blue Loop on the west side) but overall, the trails are in fine shape.

Comments
Comments: One more for the redline. I'd done Cooley Hill from the south last December, and was so jazzed by the area that returning was a given. The views are certainly from the outside looking in -- you're closer to Vermont than you are to the Twins, and yet you can still enjoy fine views of those peaks. Certainly the views of the nearer mountains are absolutely stunning. Easy grades, and the trail maintenance is top notch. If it were easier to find the trailhead, this one would be swarmed. Thank heavens it's not.
