Nicely paved access along Russell Pond Rd to parking area for campsites B07 & B08 which can accommodate up to about 8 vehicles. |

The ground cover throughout the open woods was thick and crunchy and would make the footing difficult for short legged dogs. |

None, but lots of spider webs. |

Headed north towards col and then west up to flat summit. Passed the stone fireplace and then meandered a while in search of fire tower artifacts and summit canister. Finally spotted safety orange canister on a mossy little area surrounded by large scratchy blowdowns. Spent one hour on this one mile roundtrip adventure. |
