Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: the east branch trail is in bad shape especially the uphill portion. it is an overgrown mess with blowdowns and terrible footing. some would have a tough time following the trail. some of the wild river trail toward eagle link was difficult too. the trail toward bog brook was the best of all. the swamp below the HOL on east branch was a flooded lake. hard to stay dry there.

Comments
Comments: i was last on east branch 7 yrs. ago when i did west baldface via bushwack. very surprised at how much the trail has gotten so bad. i did wild river to eagle link and then out to bog brook trail. it was a 14 mile day. i met a lady who was hiking with a broken rib and another lady who was trimming some hobblebush. despite the tough conditions, it was a good day especially weatherwise.
