Comments
Comments: The goal of this two day backpack was to summit Southwest Twin. After setting up a wilderness camp off the Twinway we began our bushwhack using information and track from a previous hiker. Some of this worked, some did not. Recommend not trying to follow anyone’s previous track exactly but rather to understand the general conditions of the area. Edges of the ridge were easier to navigate in places. Encountered some major spruce and blowdown walls but most of these can be avoided. Found a faint herd path at the base of the summit cone.
