Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Off Hurricane Mountain Road - Post to inform of logging operations in the area, they have cleared a large area adjacent to the existing parking lot. Warning signs posted on up the trail to let you know of the activity as well as an information posting of what they are doing, logging road has been cut right at the start of the trail. There is large electronic highway sign right before you start heading up Hurricane Road past the lower trailheads for the mountain bike trails. Sign was a bit confusing indicating that the trailhead was closed but didn't say on which days, was open on Sunday with large crowds. Just be aware you may get there only to find that the trailhead is closed.

Comments
Comments: Quick hike to a summit with great views, be aware of logging operations in area Which I noted above which may close the trailhead. If closed you can still access Black Cap using the Red Tail or Kettle Ridge trails but are heavily trafficked with Mountain bikes or from Cranmore peak.
