The agte at the fish hatchery is closed until 8:00, but you can unlock it... just close it behind you. And don't worry if you don't get out by 4:00, you wont' be locked in for the night! |

This was a great walk on a beautiful day, though not as strenuous or long (5 hours) as I expected. The trail is in much better shape than I'd expected, presumably because it leads (from boht ends) to a 4000 footer and there are a lot of peak-baggers out there. It's funny how the Kilkenny Ridge Trail seems to peter out just north of Waumbek, and then pop back to life at Bunnell Notch; and pete rout agian just north of Unknown Pond, which is anything but unknown! Truly sectacular views from Bunnell Rock and The Horn! |
