Comments
Comments: It rained steadily the day before, so as expected the trail was wet with plenty of run off. No real issues though. The worst of it was a couple of really good sized mud patches in the top 1/4 of the trail, and even those could be navigated. Would suggest poles, both to help navigate and rock-hop the mud, and also on the lower 1/3rds decent which is a gravelly mix that can be prone to making your footing slide out from under you. My right elbow has the proof on that one. I'd also suggest lightweight gaiters like Dirty Girl or similar, solely to keep said gravel out of your boots.
