Wet muddy trails today. Feet are going to be wet bring extra socks, glad I did. Lots of water/mud felt like spring conditions. Dry trail only past Bond. Out & back not as busy considering the parking lots. Zealand Spur is just a muddy mess. Perfect fall day, warm hardly any wind. Views for miles, spectacular. I soaked up the sun on every Peak, even had Guyot & West Bond solo. Great day for this hike. Made it back to hut before dark, last 2.9 miles I did in an hour. Headlamp on for last 1/2. Several people finishing their 48 today! Kristy on West Bond I was here solo for her & her husbands summit! 3 on Bondcliff, we all kinda arrived together! 3 more heading up as I was heading down. So cool to be there for the celebrations.! |
