This was a short hike with a great reward. Went up Winslow, which was steep with some ledgy sections, but in good condition overall. There were lots of steps that made things easier and it was dry in most spots. Descended Barlow, which was not as steep, but was pretty rough, especially up high, plus was very wet in spots. There were some great views from the open summit area and at some ledges on upper Barlow. Walked up the fire tower steps (the enclosed top area was closed). Saw about 8-10 people on this hike. Hopefully they completed the hike before the rain came. |
