	Date of Hike:	Thursday, October 14, 2021

	Parking/Access Road Notes:	About 5 cars in lot at 8 am.

	Surface Conditions:	Dry Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable

	Recommended Equipment:

	Water Crossing Notes:	One crossing of Wonalancet river very easy(though the dog complained about it)

	Trail Maintenance Notes:	Trail in good shape. Newer log bars bear top, many stone waterbars down low.

	Dog-Related Notes:	Our dogs first 4k. He did very well. Nice easy footing on this trail al the way to last few hundred feet from top. Then a few scrambls up rocks. Dog did fine.

	Bugs:	not a factor

	Comments:	Great fall day. A little warm to start(mid 50's) quickly changed to shorts and t shirts. Foliage very nice. many leaves on trail but dry. First 4k for the (nearly 2 year old)pup. Seemed to enjoy himself. Number 33 for DW. First one in 4 years! Great day to be out, saw only 5 or 6 people.My last hike on Passaconaway was 40 years ago! Yikes
