| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Hancock Notch Trailhead had quite a few cars (tourist enjoying the leaves/ view) but they did not stay long. |

| Water Crossing Notes: |
Too many to list but all passable without issues. Lots of water in the brooks/ rivers for the fall. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Most of the trails are in good shape with the occasional blowdown. The FR85 shortcut to Sawyer River Road is easy to follow but overgrown. Hancock Notch Trail near Hancock Notch is not super easy to follow and requires paying attention to the clues. |

Very few flying bugs and none of the biting type. |

Nice 2 nights/ 3 days. 33 miles. Very few people on the trails. Most doing a day-hike to the Hancocks or Carrigain. |
