Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Town Hall Road (Forest Road 17?) was in pretty good condition from when the road turned to dirt all the way to the Slippery Brook Road parking area. There were a couple of rough spots and some potholes, but nothing that would be a problem for any vehicle. The parking area can accommodate several vehicles. I was the only vehicle at 8:20 am. There was one other vehicle when I returned in early afternoon.

Comments
Comments: Hike was pretty much as advertised. It started with a 2.2 mile walk on a grassy road until the trail went into the woods. The road had two cairns with arrows and some orange tape, both which need to be followed. The first cairn/arrow points to the left at a fork. The second points to the right, where the trail portion starts. Be sure to follow those cairns/arrows, or you may encounter a maze of forest roads, as I did. Thankfully I realized my mistake quickly! The trail portion of the Slippery Brook Trail had lots of leaves on it, which hid some mud puddles, which I thankfully avoided for the most part. The trail was very gradual all the way to the Eastman Mt. Trail / Baldface Knob Trail junction, without many highlights. Eastman Mt. Trail was in good condition. I only saw two people, both on the Eastman Mt. Trail. They had come from Route 113 and were great guys to talk with! I wore lots of blaze orange, expecting hunters, but saw none today. I now only have the two Baldfaces and Eagle Crag to finish the 52 WAV list, which I hope to do very soon.
