Comments
Comments: Couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day to finish my 48! I've been working on the 48 for a few years now, and though there were certainly times I didn't feel like I would reach my goal, I've persevered and done it! Doing Carrigain was sort of a victory lap for me, as I'd heard the trail was fairly easy and the views stunning. It didn't disappoint!

Blue skies out to the horizon today. Walking through the dead leaves on the trail, the chill in the air, and seeing the Presi's covered in a layer of snow, made it feel like a perfect Autumn day. Ice is just barely beginning to form at the summit of Carrigain, where small chunks were falling from the platform as the sun rose. Winter is coming. Trails are in great shape, just beware that the leaves can hide rocks and water. Once again, I'm so thrilled to be able to say that I've finished the NH 48!
