Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Took out some stepover blowdowns on Slippery Brook Trail (west) - still a few remaining, including a large one. None impede walking too much. Slippery Brook Trail (west) has basically no blazing and is very brushy - could be hard to follow in fall. Eastman Mountain Trail also brushy.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: Some along the logging road portion, otherwise not too bad.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: About halfway between logging road and ridge, there are a pair of jeans, boxers, and a New York hat hanging off some branches.

Comments
Comments: Trails were wet with dew in the morning - after the first logging road junction on the Slippery Brook Trail, it was very grassy and thus wet, all the way to the junction with the actual trail. Some slippery roots and rocks too, as well as some mud patches in the mixed woods below the col. Some slippery rock ascending Eastman as well.

Some excellent blueberries along the logging road, as well as just off the summit of Eastman.
