Comments
Comments: From HOL we followed skidder road to bank above stream and spent 30-40 minutes looking for an easy way to cross. Finally found a shallow spot and crossed with plastic bags over boots. Headed in the general direction toward Bald gaining elevation in moderately open pine then open hardwood until the steep cone of the summit. Recognized high point was easily found. Descended more westerly finding more open woods at the top and bringing us back to the hard wood and inbound track back to vehicle.

Cambridge Black-SE Peak (see driving note on parking). Previous posts approached from the northwest and the Cambridge Black mountain ridge but rather than drive completely around the mouintain we chose an approach heading northeasterly. We walked the logging road to the log landing at it's end then set a bearing for the summit through raspberry bushes and whippy hardwood growth and then blowdowns for about half the distance to the peak. Entered a well grazed moose area with herd paths everywhere and continued to the summit. Returning, we continued on the herd paths for a longer more easterly decent in open hardwoods and then picking up better skidder paths back to the log landing.
