Comments
Comments: No need microspikes today, although there was sporadic ice and frozen mud, mostly on the Carriage Road. I was expecting more ice with last weekend's rain, but it really was not bad. I found the leaves more of a nuisance than the ice.

The story of the day is the colder temperature; below freezing at the trailhead to start. At the summit, modest winds combined with the colder temperature made it feel like winter. All we need now is some snow.
