| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
One tree leaning across the trail right after the water crossing (as you ascend), the lower branches have already been cut off. Another tree about 4†diameter, leaning high up over the trail about 1.1 miles below the summit. |

| Comments: |
About 75% of the Garfield Trail has water running down the trail, but for the most part you can rock hop over the mud and water. Icy near the summit, but there’s enough dry rock to walk on. I had microspikes but didn’t need them. |
