Comments
Comments: Devil's Hopyard is a mini Ice Gulch. No scrambling or climbing needed, just hiking on rocks. It was well worth taking the time to see it. Kilkenny Ridge Trail is a slow gentle climb most of the way. The middle third of Kilkenny Ridge Trail was muddy, some of it hidden under leaves. There was a dusting of snow starting at 2300 ft but no traction was needed. About 2/3 of the way up there is a yellow plastic blaze on a tree just to the left of the trail. The trail itself was not evident to us beyond that point. We followed some orange flagging and quickly found it. The view from Roger's Ledge was great. We saw 3 people all day.
