| Comments: |
Did not need microspikes on the ascent of Garfield, but put them on for the descent and wore them descending the steep section of Garfield Ridge Trail to the first col. Could have used them a few times on the ledgy sections of Garfield Ridge Trail, but was able to tip toe safely around. Did not need microspikes ascending Galehead or on any portion of the Gale River Trail.
Nice warm afternoon. Enjoyed sitting on the porch of Galehead Hut and soaking in some warm rays of sunshine at lunchtime. |
