 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Sucker Brook crossing at east end of Carr Mt. Trail was uninviting so we backtracked and took the workaround suggested in the WMG. A few other crossings of lesser brooks took some care. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
No significant blowdowns. Trail is badly eroded in many places. |

Three Ponds Trail, Carr Mt. Trail (end-to-end)
We spotted a car and started at the east end on the Three Ponds Trail. The
Carr Mt. Trail had increasing snow with elevation with 5" or so at the summit. Above about 2800' the snow obscured both icy slabs and deep mud pits so going was tedious. Snow cover wasn't consistent enough to enable use of spikes.
As always, a fun outing with Chris and Renee even in less than perfect conditions. |
