Big blowdown across trail on Martha's Mile requiring significant bypass. Rotting and broken bog bridges on Owl's Head trail. |

Beautiful day with spectacular views from both Mts Martha and Owl's Head. Loose snow on most of the hike except for lower elevation on Owl's Head. Rock spikes encouraged. Ran into a couple performing light trail maintenance on Owl's Head Trail. They told us that Owl's Head trail isn't slated for scheduled maintenance for 2 years. If you go up to Mt Martha, be sure to take the side trail on the summit over to the western edge--the view from here is spectacular. |
