Comments
Comments: Lots of ice on the trail up from Bangor St, but we were able to bare boot to 3200' before putting on micros. There's a lot more wind exposure on the lower section of the Carter Moriah Trail than I remember due to logging. The final 400 feet to the summit is heavily iced and pretty sketchy. Blustery at the summit. Bushwhacked around the worst part of the ice on the descent. Took off micros at about 3000' and any remaining ice was easily avoided after that. Great hiking with Sandy. Saw two other people all day.
