Comments
Comments: A bunch of different snowy trail conditions today. Everything was broken out. Put on microspikes early in the hike as there was a lot of ice and frozen snow. Past Greenleaf Hut in the woods, there was some unpacked drifts with a scattering of postholes, which did not last long. Above treeline along Greenleaf Tr, there was a lot of exposed rocks with frozen snow and ice mixed in. With all of the exposed rocks, it was incredibly unfriendly towards snowshoes. Along Franconia Ridge Tr, it was mostly frozen packed snow with areas of ice and some pockets of drifted snow in woody areas. Coming down Falling Waters Tr, more ice and frozen packed snow.

Today was not a great day to be up on Franconia Ridge. Socked in the entire time along with some light snow and wind that, at times, blew it into my face. Goggles were used today to protect the eyeballs. Saw no one today and very few cars in the parking lot.
