Two other cars in lot when we arrived at 9, 2 different cars there when we were done at 3. |

|
 | Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction, Traction |
|
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Crossing of Drakes Brook early on the Sandwich Mountain Trail was too risky, in my opinion. Did the road walk-around there. Water crossings on Drakes Brook Trail were a tad tricky, but fine. |

 | Comments: |
Up Sandwich Mt. Trail, down Drakes Brook Trail.
Thick ice in some places--if you have crampons, you could definitely use them. Microspikes were very much necessary, and spikes alone were fine, but there were places where I wish I had something more aggressive in terms of traction. In other areas, there was a little bit of snow, which was easier to walk on in spikes. No need for snowshoes here until we get more snow.
