| Comments: |
Ravine Road is a sheet of ice but manageable driving with care. The newly opened Put Trail parallels the road and is a nice alternative to the road walk to the trailheads but is loaded with recently cut stumps. Gorge Brook Trail has some ice and one short ice flow but overall is very easy going in spikes. Most of the trail above 3000' had packed snow cover until the bare rocks just below the summit. We wore spikes car-to-car with no issues.
Wonderful hike with Chris and Renee in better than expected trail conditions and perfect weather. Views were superb. So nice to encounter Steve Smith on the trail and chat for a bit. |
