Freakishly warm day. We barebooted from Rt 16 to just below Zeta Pass. From there it was micros along the Carter Moriah Tr, although you could have wanted Trail Crampon Pros in many spots between South Carter and the North Carter Trail Junction (we switched to them shortly after Middle Carter). The top of North Carter has lots of thick ice and then it just ends about halfway to the Imp Tr junction. From that point until Rt 16, we barebooted. I've now finished Middle and South Carter 11 months. Hope to grid it out next May. |
