Comments
Comments: On the way down headgehog, a couple hundred feet above the loop junction, I bushwhacked down to the downs brook and then up to meet the forest road. I've used variations of this route before and find it to be a good way to combine these peaks. Only about 6in. of snow throughout. Snowshoes were great off trail and headed up, but going down hill on trail was a little to bony for them. Trails are becoming well traveled since snow.
