Comments
Comments: Old Mountain Road was somewhat packed up to the logging road junction, but not as much so thereafter. Some slush poking through in the wet areas, but avoidable. Closing in on a foot of snow in the woods in this section. Snowshoes were ideal.

Crawford Ridgepole had seen significant drifting overnight, obliterating the packed footbed in many places. Drifts were 1 to 2 feet deep. Snowshoes were a must.

Temperatures in the upper 20s this morning prior to sunrise under clear skies. Squam Lake is now frozen over (though I'd trust the ice strength as much as I'd trust gas station sushi).

Support liberty.
