Nice day for a hike! The trail was in great shape with a few inches of snow the whole way. . I started in trail crampons and switched to snowshoes with heel lifts for the steeper parts and the descent. I kept them on until the first water crossing and bare booted from there. My friend wore microspikes the whole time and had no issues.
Some ice under the snow on the final push to North Tripyramid but all was manageable with traction. |
