Ice on major water crossings was mainly stable.
On the return, late afternoon, ice on water crossing broke under hikers weight. |

Lincoln woods tr.: first 3 miles was flat & well packed snow.
Black pond bushwack: well packed in am. sticky snow/slush in afternoon
Lincoln woods tr & Owl's head path up slide: dropped packs at base of steep elevation change, geared up with snowshoes & climbed up; butt sled down most/all of the slide to retrieve packs & head down the remainder. |
