Finally all that pesky ice is covered (mostly). Easiest ascent ever of the Avalon trail. A few deeper drifts between Field/Willey, but overall, no need for snow shoes. Descending from the Tom col, lots of fluffy snow acting like shock absorbers for these old knees! |
