Comments
Comments: I was the first to hike after the new snow. The lower trail only had about 6" of wet snow, but higher up it was closer to a foot. The snow packed well, making for some really nice snowshoeing. I used a short cut I've used before, where I go straight up hill at the sharp right hand turn/switchback around 2100 feet (there is a plastic yellow arrow at the turn). From here, I jumped into the woods and immediately picked up a paint blazed boundary that makes a perfect path for cutting this corner.
