Comments
Comments: Met up with my friend John for an afternoon stroll. Temps around 5F when we started, had dropped to 1F upon our return just before dark. Passed two others on their way out as we were getting started, otherwise didn't see anyone else along the way. I had spikes, crampons, and snowshoes with me just in case, ended up bare-booting the whole way. A couple of icy spots required special attention, but overall the snow was surprisingly minimal and well-packed. John wore his spikes start to finish.
