Comments
Comments: I wore snowshoes from beginning to end. They're not necessary on the first flat 2 miles because the trail is wide enough, but of the six other people I saw ascending to North Moat, only 1 wore snowshoes and they weren't wearing them on the way down. It's a very, very narrow trek to the summit with very soft snow. No portholes yet but it's just a matter of time with everyone in spikes. I tried to widen/pack down as much as I could, but it felt futile with others in spikes undoing all of the hard work. How the heck do we educate people? The frustration didn't stop me from enjoying a windless summit and stellar views for miles and miles!
