Lost and Found
Lost and Found: There was a pair of sunglasses in a case left on the ground at the 19 mile brook trailhead sign. With the pending storm, I took them with me. Email me a description and an address and I'll send them to you.

Comments
Comments: Chilly start (-18F)...especially with the .5 mile downhill rd walk on 16 to start, then stopping to put on showshoes which I wore all day. (Stay left at the fork in Dodge Camp where it says "Staff only") A decent track with a couple of inches of powder on top (seemed like it had been a couple of days since someone used the trail) from Dodge Camp until Zeta Pass and then up to Hight. A decent amount of drifting in places. Minimal postholing, but there were some deep ones...ouch. Folks coming up Carter Dome trail from 19 mile brook trail heading to Carter Dome had packed it solidly all the way to Carter Dome. Nobody had continued on down to Carter Notch today, but it seems fairly packed with a couple of inches on top. Heading down from Hight towards Carter Dome was not very well packed and was hard to follow in spots with some large drifts until it rejoined Carter Dome trail. Not bad going down, would have been tough going up. Carter Dome Trail and then 19 mile brook trail would be fine for just spikes, but why not use the 'shoes. Very little ice all day. Didn't see anyone all day.
