Old Mountain Road is packed out from snowmobile use, put there is some blue ice that Microspikes can't get up (can snowshoe up it or around it). Other side of Old Mountain Road (113) also packed by snowmobile.
Crawford Ridgepole Trail had some new postholes installed by a barebooter (I didn't need to put the toilet seat up to pee; I barely left any splashes!).
Noted tracks heading north and south on Crawford Ridgepole.
Snowshoes were the way to go.
Warmer morning as compared to recent days, with temperatures around 10F. No sunrise on account of the clouds moving in ahead of the storm. |
