Comments
Comments: From the bottom of the Arrowhead ski area, I snowshoed up the snowmobile trail to the far right, which loops around and eventually reaches the summit. Only a few snowmobilers out, so it was quiet. Nice views of Ascutney from the summit.

I descended some of the backcountry ski trails (the current Arrowhead ski area/tubing area only uses the very bottom of the original ski area). About 2" of powder on top of a frozen granular/crusted base. Some postholes on the old liftline from pre-storm barebooters. Only saw a few backcountry ski trails. Trails look pretty well maintained for that, but the really steep one needs more snow.

Snowshoes or skis a must.

Breezy afternoon with mostly sunny skies and temperatures around 20.
