Knowing we were in for some extremely cold conditions we bundled up and started up the trail with snowshoes on. It was snowshoes from start to finish. We are grateful for the two men ahead of us who broke out the trail. The four of us ended up playing a bit of leapfrog as we neared the summit. We spent a scant few seconds on the summit because of the biting wind and extreme cold. On the way down we were met by for bare booters ascending. They had torn up the nice trail that we worked so hard to create. Come on people! Some trail etiquette please! On the way down we took a quick detour to Bugle Cliffs for the one good view of the day. In spite of the challenge of the cold it was another beautiful Winter hike. |
