Trail was packed but with a loose surface so we opted for snowshoes which was a good choice. Flew up the trail, passing groups who were not all on snowshoes. The surface was good for us going up, as we were the first of the day once we passed a couple of groups. However, most people we encountered were bare booting or using microspikes, so coming down it was less stable underfoot. Beautiful views from both sides of the summit. Someone had come up via the ladders, I think there is a report from that trip. Trail also broken towards Percival, two hikers passed us on the way down who we think had come up Percival. Lovely day! |
