Comments
Comments: Thanks to the efforts of folks yesterday, this route has been broken out, but is not yet firm enough for boots/spikes. Snowshoes are the best choice for the current conditions. Higher up there's also a lot of drifting. According to an Orford resident, this area got about 20 in. of new snow out of the recent storm, and it certainly looks like it!

About half the folks I saw today were in 'shoes (myself included) with the rest either bare booting or in spikes, so the smoothing done by the 'shoers was canceled out.

I didn't stay on either summit for too long due to the cold temps. The winds were light, but they were just enough to make me want to keep moving. Beautiful clear views with the sun in and out of the clouds.

Nice to meet Diane and Hank out there!
