Comments
Comments: The trail was broken but was mostly unpacked powder. There were a fair number of adventures on the trails, about half using shoes while the other half spikes or bear booting. My group used shoes the whole way, and on the down side of Percival our butts, to smooth out the chewed up trail. For a sho0t distance (like 50 feet) a few of us changed to spikes to get over a rocky spot and to see if spikes were the way to go. The spikes balled up real fast and it was clear we were going to wrecking the trail to we went back to shoes.
