Trail is on its way to getting packed down assuming everyone continues to wear snowshoes. The texture of the snow was fairly challenging because it was so loose and powdery so there were plenty of places where we were slipping and sliding and sinking in. We wore snowshoes from the trail head to the hut. Changed over to microspikes to attempt summering but we only got about a third of the way from the hut to the summit. It was extremely windy and very cold so we decided that today wasn’t the day! Buttslid a lot on the way down. |
