West Pawtuckaway, Mount Pawtuckaway
North Mountain Trail, Boulder Trail, Round Pond, North Mtn Bypass
Concrete crust with a light dusting on top over <1 foot of snow. The crust was really solid, even off trail. Lovely day in the woods with my lovely wife. We took a left at the end of the ridge, boulder trail wasn't broken from the top and is much steeper. There were some sketchy descents with hard ice coming around the back side, but nothing that can't be handled with micros and care. I did a little icy buttsledding, but controlling speed was tough on that concrete crust. |
