Comments
Comments: Snowshoes all the way from the Ravine Lodge start of all the trails. 3 people had skis skinning their way up. I saw 6 other people and 5 of them had snowshoes or skis. I was first in the lot at 7am and there were 14 total cars at 2pm, so lots of activity today. Gorge Brook trail was in decent shape, and I know it had 3 snowshoers and a skier go up in the early morning. Above treeline to Moose summit is windswept densely packed powder. Carraige road to Glencliff/South Peak intersection was in decent shape, no postholes. Broke trail up South Peak, and 2 more in snowshoes followed. Should be decent now. Carraige road down to Snapper was soft in the warm weather and sun, had one naughty bare booter (wish snowshoes on her pack!) and 2 ski dudes ascending early afternoon. Presumably the rest were going up Gorge Brook at this time. Snapper also well consolidated. Snapper/Gorge junction back to the lodge was wide and flat by early afternoon, so I can presume the rest of Gorge Brook got a decent flattening as well.
