Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: 19 Mile Brook Trailhead parking was full but I made my own place in the lot by parking headfirst into the guardrail on the south end of the lot. When I returned just before mid day at least 4 cars were parked out on the side of the road and other cleverly doubled parked behind their pals.

Comments
Comments: Easily bare-booted up the trail, no need for spikes or snowshoes it was a hard packed sidewalk. Not yet to the Carter Dome trail junction I found Liam's snowshoe tracks heading down into the brook. Nice snow bridge across and on the other side the only tight squeeze of the bushwhack as I climbed out of the brook bed. Oh the nice open woods were a delight and following a bushwhack snowshoe track kept my compass in my pack and I just enjoyed the scenery. A very nice line to the summit, open woods all the way. Liam's tracks were at least 9 inches deep and often I sunk down a few inches further, snow was nearly 2 feet and so soft and getting sticky in the sun at 10:30 am today, he really battled to get up. I felt like I stole this one folks! I guess we can call it even trade for Teapot now. Nice outlook before hitting the summit of the Carter's. Signed into the register and back down mostly in our tracks, well actually all the steep places I jumped into the untracked soft snow and bounded down the mountain quickly and fun! My winter NHH200 list is getting a short.
