Very deep, heavy snow, unbroken. A moose postholed 3-6 feet deep through where another party had broken several storms ago, so even the old track was unusable. (Not complaining, it's their home).
We broke as far as the kilkenny ridge sign (2.4 miles, about 3 hours) and turned around. No way a Weeks traverse to Wumbek was happening under those conditions. Just 1 hour back :-)
