 | Comments: |
The hike up Mt. Martha from 115 was as expected: packed trail, though sadly full of postholes after the recent warm weather. Microspikes were sufficient on this chilly day. Martha's Mile and the Owlshead trail were unbroken, so snowshoes the whole way. Well blazed on Martha's Mile; less so on Owlshead Trail. Tough 200 feet climbing up to the summit of Owlshead! A bit hard to follow the trail off the summit down Owlshead Trail. If you go, there are only one set of snowshoe tracks, so still a lot of work to do to break trail. Beautiful blue sky day! |
