After three days of sub-freezing weather the trail, which was well packed out, was fully frozen and not soft at all. Easy walking with microspikes. With the warmup that is coming, however, anticipate a lot of postholing if you don't bring showshoes. After the hike take a side trip over to the Beede Falls and Cow Cave. It's worth the extra walk. |
